Frequently Asked Questions about PEPSI
Q - You have my child in the wrong division.....he's 8 and you have him in the U10 division.
A - Our age groups are all UNDER the age mentioned. That means the U8 division would have all bowlers that were UNDER 8 on August 1, 2017 So if your child was 8 on August 1, 2017, he/she is in the U10 division
Q - Why are there the same number of state qualifiers in different zones when there were differing number of bowlers in each division?
A - Our rule states that we will advance bowlers to state with a 1:5 ratio with major fractions advancing. We also state that a MINIMUM of 6 bowlers from each division in each zone will advance to the state tournament (provided there were 10 bowlers at the zone level in that division). So, if there are 10 bowlers we advance 6....if there were 25 we'd advance 6....if there are 38 we would advance 8. This includes paid for bowlers that were 'no shows' at the zone tournament. If there is a tie for the final qualifying spot at Zone we take all tied bowlers.
Q - Where and when are the state tournaments?
A - You will receive an email from us in late March or early April for the U15/U20 divisions and in early/mid April for the U8/U10/U12 divisions. We will use the email you gave us on your entry. If you cease using this email, please contact us with a good email for us to use.
Q - What average does my child use for the tournament?
A - PEPSI is a SCRATCH TOURNAMENT. We do not need your child's average. We however may require your child's season league record to verity that he/she indeed bowled properly during the qualifying window.
Q - Who Is running my zone and how do I contact them?
A - Please see the file below with all zone directors, bowling center and dates for the 2021 Pepsi tournament.
